Catherine McBeth is a freelance writer currently based in the Peak District. Having gained a degree in Spanish and French in 1992, she moved to Madrid and spent several years working as an English teacher and translator. On returning to Britain she worked as an ELT editor in Oxford before becoming a freelance author. After contributing to a Spanish-language course A Buen Puerto, she went on to write a range of materials for Secondary English-language courses, including Macmillan’s Definitions for Bachillerato. Her four-level secondary course Voices was published by Macmillan in 2009.
