The Science Zone is our new Interactive Whiteboard (IWB/PDI) CLIL material for bilingual schools or schools teaching Science in English. It is designed to be used alongside any course book. It will run on Windows or Linux and can be used on any whiteboard with software for either of these two operating systems. You will need to have a web browser installed (© Internet Explorer 7 or higher, or © Firefox 3 or higher) and the © Adobe Flash Player plug-in (version 9 or above) installed on your computer. However you will not need to be connected to the Internet whilst using the program as the material is on a CD-ROM.

Click on the image of the appropriate level of Science Zone above to try an online demo of this new material. For full functionality, you will need to have your whiteboard software installed and activated and your whiteboard connected to your computer, running correctly and calibrated.

Please note that only one unit of each level is available in this demo material.

•    In 1st Cycle, the activities in the Insects unit are activated.
•    In 2nd Cycle, the activities in the Breathing and circulation unit are activated.
•    In 3rdCycle, the activities in the Electricity and magnetism unit are activated.

The other units are available in the full version, as well as comprehensive Teacher’s notes and photocopiable Worksheets.

Remember - on every activity screen you will see the Information icon. If you click on this, you will see instructions on how to do the activity. If you click again, the instructions will disappear.
