Macmillan & IATEFL BESIG announce their Joint Local Scholarship Scheme Back to list
The International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) Business English Special Interest Group (BESIG) and Macmillan Education are pleased to announce their Joint Local Scholarship Scheme. The aim is to assist participants from Spain and Portugal to attend the 27th Annual International Conference in Bonn, Germany between 14th and 16th November 2014.
Registration through the scheme starts on 1st July and ends on 24th October. The scholarship is open to all teachers of Business English throughout Spain and Portugal.
There are no specific selection criteria for the Joint Local Scholarship Scheme, but successful delegates would be expected to:
- write blog posts about their conference experience, which will be published on the Macmillan Education website (www.macmillanenglish.com) soon after the event
- give short interviews during the conference, which will be collated into video clips and published on the IATEFL BESIG and Macmillan websites, YouTube channels and Facebook pages
- post about the event on social media (on a voluntary basis)
Attendees from Spain and Portugal are eligible for significantly reduced rates. The rate for the full conference is £36 (approx. €45). This includes the reception on Friday, all the talks, workshops and exhibition, plus lunch on Saturday. The full standard rate applies for the optional pre-conference session on Friday.
