Starting and ending routines for Primary Back to list
Start or end your class with a simple routine!
Understanding and managing your class is undeniably the key to providing your pupils with a positive and organised learning experience. The more your pupils know what is expected of them and how they can learn, the more able they will be to focus on the learning itself. As Terry Heick says in his blog TeachThought ‘Classroom management is more about the design of learning experiences than it is behavior.’ In his post on the ten things he wished he’d known in his first year of teaching he writes ‘behavior was almost always a product of the way I designed learning experiences mixed with my relationship with the students.’
