Macmillan Readers – Intermediate level
The Macmillan Readers series comprises a range of stories in which the language has been adapted to suit the needs of learners at all levels.
Intermediate level Macmillan Readers have 64-112 pages and approximately 1,600 keywords. All Readers are illustrated and include background information notes,Points for Understanding questions and a full glossary of complex words at the back of the book. Selected titles also include additional exercises. The present and past perfect progressive, as well as future perfect, are used at this level; while sentences have a maximum of main clause and two subordinate clauses.
The Readers website contains extra resources for teachers in the form of downloadable worksheets and exams. All of the Readers in this series include an Audio CD on which the story is told clearly by a native speaker of English.
