Draw a portrait

Practise the language of physical appearances by using portraits drawn by your pupils.

Aims

  • To draw the parts of the face carefully to complete a portrait or self-portrait with correct proportions.
  • To name and describe the different parts of the face.
  • To discuss physical appearances.

Materials

Portrait worksheet or white paper, pencil, crayons, coloured pencils or oil pastels, a small mirror (if drawing a self-portrait).
