- Give out the worksheet and ask the pupils to write in the eight months that are missing from the calendar, from October through to May. Go over this by asking, What month comes after September?, What month comes before June? etc, and check the spelling by writing the months on the board. They can also do a drawing to represent each month in the appropriate box.
- Fill in the month squares by asking questions, eg
When is the beginning/end of the Christmas/Easter/summer term?
When is Carnival?
When is Easter?
This activity can be done as project/group work – giving out local calendars to have local information.
Important language to be revised/produced includes the use of prepositions of time, eg It’s in October, It’s on the 10th October, etc.
